Trust? Faith? Believe?

Today while I was walking across the streets, I saw a mother holding her child's hands, crossing the road.
The moment the mother stops, the child stops.
when the mother walks, the child walks.

I just thought, wow. why is it that the child trusts his mother so much?
and it was because the mother must have shown so much love to the child, and the child is so affirmed that the mother loves him, that he knows the mother would do NOTHING to hurt him.

And I thought about it...
You know how people always say they don't have faith.
In fact, in the movie "angels and demons", it is said :
Faith is a gift, that I've yet to receive.

and I recall what Pastor Lawrence Khong said...
when we take the airplane, we won't actually go up to the pilot and ask him to show that he is certified to drive an airplane right.
does that mean we TRUST in that pilot, WHICH WE HAVE NEVER SEEN, our ENTIRE LIFE?

wow, great faith we all have don't you think?

and then you might say," the government won't allow such to happen. security is tight. blah"

so you TRUST the government and have FAITH in their efficiancy and proficiency, which is why you BELIEVE that such things will not happen. The government has proven its worth?

wow, yes, indeed. I don't deny Singapore's government is great.

but anyway, the bottom line is this...
I was just thinking through...
don't you think this whole world revolves around Faith.
Many times we do not see the whole picture, but because of the word " BELIEVE ",
be it religion or people, things become easier for us.

just like the first example of how the mother was holding the child's hands.
you know, because the child has experienced this Love, which is why he trusts his mother...

what more, our Creator.
Jesus did come on Earth 2000years ago. Go research on how many billions of artefacts have been found.
He came to reconcile the relationship we had with God.
and because He is the true and Living God,
we can still experience this LOVE HE has for us TODAY.

I was once so down, completely faithless.
my friends all had witness that period of time.
NOTHING to depend on.
THINGS were in a mess.
everything was in a state of confusion.

till I've experienced God once again.
Touched by HIS love, and I came back to where I was supposed to be...

because I've experienced,
I BELIEVE.

why not let's just put aside all earthly matters and just take this step of Faith,
not to harden our hearts and be rebellious.

Like I've said earlier,
I don't believe in coincidences.
I believe that God plans it all.
You're here at my blog today, not by chance.
and now even as you read, you feel convicted?
tell me.
I don't care who you are.


Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

Just like how we have Faith in our parents,
what more this Heavenly Father, who loves us so much....
Shouldn't we have faith in Him too?

Thank You Lord Jesus.

from the time I've experienced You,
till the time I began to trust You,
to the time I BELIEVE in You,
and I began to have Faith in You....
Life has been so much better.
